We Australians love sport, whether it’s to watch, to play or bet on (don’t deny it). The Basil Sellers Art Prize embraces this cultural significance that sport plays within our nation, encouraging contemporary artists to engage and reflect on the past and present sporting culture through their artwork. The exhibition will showcase the works of 15 different artists with a range of art & sporting subject matter that will no doubt impress both sides. So come and support your local artists and let them share their creative journey with you!
WHEN: Friday August 3 – Saturday November 4, 10am-5pm
WHERE: Ian Potter Museum of Art, The University of Melbourne, 800 Swanston Street, Parkville
