Men of Letters

Not content with selling out every show they’ve put on over the last few months, Women of Letters creators/curators Marieke Hardy and Micheala McGuire are turning their winning formula to the fellas.

Next month will see the second annual Men of Letters, where gents of note (and notes) will read aloud letters of wit and woe to a presumably packed out Thornbury Theatre. The afternoon promises “a spectacular line up of brilliant minds and rakish moustaches”.

Letter writing lads include Oscar winning animator Adam Elliott, human rights lawyer Julian Burnside, man of all seasons Shaun Micallef, velvet-voiced broadcaster Waleed Aly, rock n’ roll all-sort Henry Wagons, cricket man-god Max ‘Maxie’ Walker and the singer who makes all swoon, Kamahl.

Yup, the last time this many awesome dudes were in one place writing letters was…at last year’s Men of Letters.

If history is any indicator tickets are going to sell like hotcakes laced with coke at an all-ages music fest, so snap ’em up quick!

Men of Letters is on Sunday 30 October from 3pm – 5pm
Thornbury Theatre, 859 High St, Thornbury
Tickets $20
