We here at the Milk Bar are big fans beer, and even bigger fans of Australian craft brews. Which means we really, really like The Crafty Pint, Australia’s premiere beer blog.

This month Crafty’s celebrating it’s first birthday with the convivially titled ‘Festival of the Frothy’. Melbourne’s very own Oktoberfest, the festival promises to be a bacchanalian celebration of hops, malt and barley. Besides tasting top notch brews from Hargreaves Hill, Stone & Wood, Bridge Road, Trumer Pils, Mountain Goat and Holgate they’ll be trivia, DJ’s, food and prizes. And cake.

As the poster says, ‘What more could you want in one night?’ Aside from a hover board, not much. Bookings close October 10, hop to it.

The Festival of the Frothy 2011
When: Saturday 15 October, doors open 7pm
Where: Fed Square Atrium and Beer DeLuxe
