MP3 of the Week: ‘Child Bearing Hips’ by The Vasco Era

It seems surreal, I know, but out of the freezing winter has come a welcome week of real life sun. I don’t want to jinx anything but the time for beer soaked weekends and road trips appears to nigh. Thusly; here is the latest fist pumping single from Apollo Bay indie darlings The Vasco Era.

‘Child Bearing Hips’ is reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘Lullaby’s to Paralyse’ era, and this is in no way a bad thing. Bringing heavy power chords that are begging to be played through tinny car speakers and subtle piano that hints at their folk beginnings, this track sings of highway air drumming and slurred arm-in-arm chorus shrieking. Happy sort-of-summer everyone!

You can check out ‘Child Bearing Hips’, which is officially released on September 2nd, right here.
You also see the lads debut it live at The Corner Hotel on the same date! Click here for details.
