When I think of Napoleon Boneparte, three things come to mind, icecream (of the tricolour kind), the Phoenix song Napoleon Says ‘Right hand in a trench coat!’, and short men. I will definitely be heading to the National Gallery of Victoria for this year’s Melbourne Winter Masterpieces exhibition, Napoleon: Revolution to Empire, if only to lessen my ignorance.
