Moon Dog – the Year of the Fizzer

Melbourne institution Moon Dog Brewery is back and ready to serve you. After the easing of the Stage 4 lockdown, the brewery giant re-opened their doors and showed no signs of a loss in momentum and pizzazz. While to most people 2020 will be remembered as a “fizzer” of a year, for the guys at Moon Dog, with their range of Moon Dog Fizzer Alcoholic Seltzers, their year is anything but.

Designed with the Australian summer in mind, Moon Dog have released four nostalgic flavours that are reminiscent of a cooling and oh-so-satisfying Weis Bar. There’s the Tropical Crush, an alcoholic bubbly water with bursts of passionfruit, mango, orange and pineapple; the Coco Mango; the Strawbs and Cream; and the Piney Limey. All‑round light, fruity and refreshing!

Characterised as a low-carb offering, or in some circles a “wellness beer”, the Moon Dog Fizzer were created purely for consumer health and lifestyle insights. But what exactly makes a Moon Dog seltzer great? They contain less than 1 gram of sugar per can, and they’re low carb, low calories, low gluten and vegan friendly.

‘The alcoholic seltzer category is exploring and we’re stoked to be launching Fizzer just as the weather starts to warm up … we think alcoholic seltzers will be absolutely huge in Australia and we’re pumped to be launching Fizzer. It’s entirely possible that we could be producing more seltzer than beer in just a few years’ time,’ says Josh Uljans, Co-Founder of Moon Dog Brewing.

Ready to swap the traditional frothies for something a little more fun and flirty? Head to either the OG in Abbotsford or Moon Dog World in Preston and order a round for your mates.
