Opening in 2015 with a fresh and contemporary timber and corrugated iron fit-out by Brolly Studios, Mjr Tom has upped the ante with the launch of their new menu! Filled with Spanish and Latin American inspired delights that impress with modern twists and authentic flavours, their new menu is sure to have something to satisfy all palates.

With a nod to the music scene that rocks Smith Street, Collingwood, in its name, Mjr Tom offers treats for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks with an atmosphere to match any time of day or night.

Plantain boat tacos filled with slow cooked pork are two elements that echo the shores of the Caribbean and together make a more than memorable dish which screams ‘one is not enough’ with every bite.

The golden and crispy crab meat croquetta with jalapeno aioli oozes with goodness and goes down a treat accompanied with Sample gold ale brewed locally in Collingwood! Other gems on the menu include kingfish ceviche, mushroom parfait and of course their signature paella!

If I can give you one piece of advice in life, don’t leave without dessert. Mjr Tom serves up hot Pumpkin buñuelos (donuts) with goats cheese ice cream, praline and ponzu reduction. This slightly unorthodox mix of flavours complement each other with a balanced combination of salty and sweet which is out of this world.

You will of course need something to wash all of this down with and Mjr Tom can help with a great range of local Australian wines from regions such as the Mornington Peninsula, King Valley and Margaret River. Stand outs from the wine line-up include the Lana Prosecco from Pizzini and the Salasso Rose from Port Phillip Estate. Mjr Tom also offers a number of delectable classic and original cocktails and local and imported beers served by an enthusiastic and helpful team.
