Micro-Brew In A Brown Paper Bag

You normally don’t associate brown paper bags and squatting with boutique beer, but that’s the inspiration behind Doss Blockos, a new pale lager just launched by Prahran’s East 9th Brewing Company.
Inspired by a collective of underground brewers from NYC who squatted in ‘Doss Blockos’ in the 1990’s, this crisp beer is brewed to go down easy. The pale malt and cascade hops make it gutsier and than a regular lager, but light enough to enjoy at a barbie or picnic. Plus you’ve got the added bonus of keeping it real by drinking from a brown paper bag.
Below is a video explaining a bit more about the beer and the street artists commissioned to paint East 9th’s Bedford Deilvery Van.
You can pick up Doss Blockos at Section 8, Thousand Pound Bend and Drummond Cellars in North Carlton. For a full list of stockists visit: www.e9thbrewing.com
