MICF: Bronwyn Kuss – Pillows xxxx

Comedian Bronwyn Kuss is here to settle the debate on whether a prawn-and-wine night with your dad is a green-flag activity or a cause for concern to any resident psychologists out there. With a unique blend of dry wit, tragic storytelling and magnetic charisma, Bronwyn delivers a masterclass of comedy at her new show Pillows xxxx as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF).
After a cracker start in the festival circuit, including winning the 2022 MICF’s Director’s Choice Award for her debut show Any Goss, Bronwyn is back with a brand new solo show Pillows xxxx, a 60-minute show that delves into the comedian’s experiences at high school and a pessimistic English/Drama teacher, therapy, and on Facebook Marketplace. The show is jam-packed with hilarious highlights including a woeful visit to the vet for their rescue dog and a dick pic festooned with glasses and band-aids.
Hailing from Ipswich, Bronywn’s comedic journey has gone from strength to strength, performing as support for Mel Buttle & Hannah Gadsby, writing for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack, and appearing on Triple J,
Dubbed a proper renaissance woman with a pair of rescue dogs, Bronwyn was superb in comedic delivery, in building tension in the audience and executed the punchline to a hilarious result. If you are looking for a solid comedy show with guaranteed laughs, then Pillows xxxx is for you.
Watch Bronwyn Kuss at the Melbourne Town Hall until Sunday 21 April 2024.
