Combining the two things Melburnians love more than anything else, the 2018 On the Bend / On the Mend Coffee and Beer festival is back for another year to celebrate local artisans and their world-class work.
Held on Sunday, 25 March and hosted by the 3 Ravens Brewery in Thornbury, the free festival brings together local coffee roasters and brewers to celebrate a shared passion for collaboration, innovation and creativity, showcasing over sixteen types of beer and coffee to be enjoyed with live music and delicious Latin street food for the ultimate Sunday sesh.
Collaborators on the day will include Mountain Goat, Moon Dog Brewery, Aviary Coffee and Industry Beans to name a few, each with a diverse range of brews on offer to challenge and excite your tastebuds and have you feeling the festival buzz. For the serious beverage fanatics and consummate connoisseurs, tickets are available to exclusive masterclass sessions with several of the brewers on show as they take you through a guided tour of each of their creations and share their experience, knowledge and passion for their craft.
With highlights including cascara infused Berliner Weisse or a white stout brewed with local sea urchin, cacao nibs and ultra-light roasted beans, On the Bend / On the Mend offers a range of brews that 3 Ravens General Manager Nathan Liascos describes as ‘complex, decadent and out there’ and sure to change the way you think about your morning coffee or your after-work beer.

Somewhere Else video sings of summer
It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
