What more could you ask for in a Friday afternoon after a long days work? They are big. They are brown. And they are free (well for the early birds).
The Brownie Bar has moved into their new Little Collins Street store in the CBD and to celebrate they are throwing brownies at the first 100 customers. Ok, they won’t be throwing them! Although chocolate gooey goodness in your face can’t be that bad.
They officially moved in in September, but who cares, a free brownie day is a win whenever it is. Seriously there isn’t a catch, all you have to do is head down to The Brownie Bar from 2pm every Friday in November, download the free Yelp app and check-in.
The cafe sells over 20 different flavours of hand-baked, hand-cut brownies on a rotating basis including flavours such as choc orange, espresso almond, nutella, salted caramel, gluten free, choc trio, cheesecake and gingerbread. On top of that, the cafe boasts a range of brownie desserts masterpieces, such as the Brownie Mess and flavoured chocolate brownie shakes? Ice cream, sandwiches and brownie sundaes.
Julie Cooke, owner of the The Brownie Bar says the opening of the Melbourne CBD store has been a dream come true. “It has always been a dream of mine to open and bake for people throughout Melbourne so opening in the city is perfect.” This dream started out as a small business in 2011, selling baked goods at local farmers markets. After developing a dedicated online brownie lovers, The Brownie Bar grew to bigger events such as St Kilda Festival, The Cake Bake & Sweets Show and The Melbourne Show.
The Brownie Bar is open seven days a week for all you sweet tooth, chocoholics out there.
