If he had you at ‘schnitzel’, you aren’t the only one who is being impressed by the crumbed-gangster Josh Glanc in this one-man sketch showing as a part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. With a knack for the ridiculous and love for making his audience laugh, Glanc showcases his talent for accents and outrageous characters ranging from a female Chinese waitress, a creepy lollipop man and an American pop star. A lactating breast prop is also rumoured to be featured. And a taxidermy cat.
Yes. You read that correctly. The two may or may not go together.
After performing to sold-out crowds for the International Comedy Festival, 99 Schnitzels (Veal Ain’t One) is Glanc’s first solo show and is back inviting Fringe audiences to join in on the fun. Glanc has always had a love for comedy, a love which was nurtured after performing as a part of the sketch team in The Law Revue in 2013 and 2014 for the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Now with a taste for the solo-comedy life Glanc says that this show is a perfect mesh of physical and musical comedy.
“It’s really not your typical sketch show. There aren’t clever lines and two characters just having a conversation. It’s silly and strange. You’ll never know exactly where a sketch is headed.”
If you are looking for a break from the mundane, with a good dash of silliness, 99 Schnitzels (Veal Ain’t One) may just be the thing you need.

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
