Ok Melbournians, brace yourselves, because you are in for a rare treat direct from the sordid back streets of South London. Renowned musician and producer Swindle is rolling into town and bringing his prodigious basslines and intoxicating funk with him, ready to hypnotise and delight for one night only.
The man of the moment, Swindle’s recently been busying himself collaborating with the crème de la crème of the UK Funky scene, proving the scope of his talent and repertoire is far-reaching and that grime can be more than “hoodies in a garage chatting crap”. On the back of the underground smash ‘Airmiles’ (released by Planet Mu), Swindle will be leaping into the limelight at Laundry on 29 June. Get down there to see what’s got the underground music scenesters in a spin.
WHEN: Friday 29 June, 8pm-3am
WHERE: Laundry Bar, 50 Johnston Street, Fitzroy
