Strike a pose this summer

Summer and New Year are great for a whole bunch of reasons, but one of the best is resolutions and learning new things.

Sure, everyone can sign up for a contract at Fitness First, but what about doing something fun and awesome in 2014? Photography Studies might have the answer.

The new website run by Melbourne snapper Dave Ewing is all about teaching people to take better pictures and have fun doing it. To celebrate the silly season they’re running a competition giving away a free photography course, open to both beginner and advanced shutterbugs.

All you have to do is submit your favourite pics, like their Facebook page and Bob’s your uncle!

And if you miss out on the winning spot Dave runs his courses all year long and as they’re online you can sign up whenever those NY resolutions kick in.

Somewhere Else video sings of summer

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
