Photographer of the week: Greg Bricknell
Posted by Paul Drury
30. Nov, 2012
Despite taking pics since he was a wee young thing, Greg Bricknall didn’t start getting serious about photography until a few years back, when a faltering career as a muso left him looking for other creative outlets.
In a professional known for its die-hards on both sides, Greg’s pretty diplomatic about the craft and shoots on both film and digital cameras, uses natural and artificial light and covers a wide variety of subjects. He’ll even work with kids and animals.
The local snapper tells us he prefers to work with a minimal kit and is working on developing a style that links together the different strands of his photography – a process he describes as a constant work in progress.
Greg’s recently been documenting the work spaces of creative types, and is gearing up to spend 2013 traveling and shooting.
