Excision @ Nova Cinema

Excision is the last movie of the Monster Fest daily series that’s been playing at the Nova Cinemas since Halloween.

Anna-Lynne McCord sheds her 90210 skin, and plays Pauline, a disturbed teenager who fantasises of performing surgery on her classmates and is preoccupied with mutilation and blood.

This fantasy becomes reality within her relationships as the movie goes on. The narrative of this story cuts into you (no pun intended) and is entirely original as so far as the horror genre is concerned. This movie premiered at the Sundance festival, but Walmart stores in America refuse to stock it. That’s a good sign, in my book.

As said before, this movie is the last of a daily movie series called Monster-Fest, and I suggest all horror movie buffs go check them out at the Nova Cinemas while they’re still going.

WHEN: Friday, 9 November, 6:30pm start
WHERE: Cinema Nova, 380 Lygon Street, Carlton
