Breaking – Theatre

Great theatre is not only entertaining but also thought-provoking, in a way that causes one to reflect upon human nature and the world in which we live. She Said Productions’ latest theatrical output is a satirical exploration of grief’s distortions of time and reality, stemming from the aftermath of the death of the State Premier.

Breaking is a gripping, witty, and honest depiction of the private lives of five people negotiating the public pillars of politics and the contemporary news media.

“The tragedy for the hosts of ‘Breaking’ is that the old model of journalists landing a scoop is no longer relevant,” the writer-directors say. “They churn out story after superficial story in the wake of the Premier’s death, but the main drama is unfolding elsewhere.”
