El Gordo Taqueria

As another year rolls around, the Riverland Group have decided to give Melbourne a little taste of Mexico and the Yarra Valley. With venues such as the The Boatbuilders Yard, Riverland, Pilgrim, The General Assembly and Bang Bang Rifle Club, there is bound to be one close to you offering you something you’ve never tried before.

Brendan Stegmann, the manager of The Boatbuilder’s Yard, has customers telling him that they “feel like they are on a holiday”, when they come down and try what the Riverland Group has to offer. The Boatbuilder’s Yard is producing some amazing summer and Mexican vibes every weekend in January and February.

Ranging from tropical cocktails to fresh traditional tacos, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

So what can you expect to find? There will be a custom-built Corona Bar, Mexican entertainment and El Gordo Taqueria serving up fresh traditional Tacos Al Pastor (charcoal spit roasted pork and pineapple served with salsa picante) every Friday. The super exciting bit – for every Corona Bucket purchased, guests will enter a prize draw to win a trip for two to Mexico!

As the sun goes down, kick back on deckchairs and enjoy sunset sessions with music from local DJs. Tequila sunset, anyone?

Somewhere Else video sings of summer

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
