Vino lovers and connoisseurs may easily distinguish between the two varieties, but for those carting boxed wine to a dinner party or a shindig, it’s time to up your game and get ahold of something that will impress your friends and family.

This month, M+Q celebrate the theme, The Outsiders, bringing obscure and little-known wines that typically sit on the fringe to the forefront, in packages of three, six or dozen packs. Some wines that you must try include local Victorian drop, Billy Button Malvasia 2015 — perfectly paired with mud crab and a touch of chilli — or the Jordi Miro Garnatxa Negra 2015, from Terra Alta, Spain, which goes well with pork bahn mi. Yum!
