Are you searching for that perfect cup of brewed coffee and huevos rancheros? Then stop no further than Rogue District, the new kid on the Brunswick brunch scene. New owners and brother-and-sister duo, Andreas and Annie Martinu, are behind refurbishing the heritage-listed bluestone cottage with a contemporary and cool feel.

Purchasing the venue in late 2016, the pair had wild plans to overhaul the venue while maintaining the popular rustic warmth people have become familiar with. The name, Rogue District, symbolises how the siblings feel about shaking up the venue, divulging that they are breaking the rules and feel a little mischievous, given the spot once housed the Pentridge Jail warden.

Fitted with communal dining areas overlooking Warr Park, try various Asian-inspired eats, including their signature Korean bulgogi burger and sambal chilli scrambled eggs. Do you have a bit of a sweet tooth? Then opt for the yoghurt panna cotta assembled with seasoned fruit, house granola, and fresh passionfruit curd – it will not disappoint.

The coffee is a standout and hails from the duo’s other business, Reverence Coffee Roasters, and is purchasable at the eatery, meaning you can have a fresh batch to brew at home. Perfecto!
