Make sure that you keep Sunday the 18th of October free, because the Mornington Peninsula will be hosting its very own Main Street Mornington Festival for everybody to enjoy. Spend your lazy Sunday meandering through the peninsula, as it offers food, entertainment, music, art and boutiques full of goodies that will ignite your compulsive shopaholic tendencies.

For those of you who are foodies, there will be delicious food options from a big variety of different cultures, and growers of fresh seasonal produce will also be at the festival. As for the wine lovers, look no further than a range of Australia’s best wine makers that will also be present at the festival, and they will certainly satisfy your cravings for finely produced wine. While you sip on your wine, you can proceed to check out the cool bands that will be performing too; they are based solely on the Peninsula and include the Quarry Mountain Dead Rats, Lloyd Spiegel, Kryptic, Sister Sister, Half The Sky, Blueshead, Sam O’Connell and more!

If all that doesn’t already top off your idea of fun: the circus, dance, theatre and choir groups surely will. They will enthrall you with their unique set of talents; for instance, there’s the ‘Totally Wilde’ magic show, the Little Munchkins Dance Crew and the Southern Cross Jazz Band and more, which will immerse you in their quality acts.

Did I mention that this festival is also free? Yes, it’s free and family-orientated too, which means that families can bring their children too and nobody has to miss out on the beautiful sights that the Peninsula has to offer. There’s even a children’s arcade to preoccupy the children, so that everybody gets to enjoy themselves.
