Yarra Valley Ice Cream Festival

“Ice cream! Ice cream! We all scream for ice cream!” Seriously, who doesn’t like ice cream?

That’s definitely a chant the folks in the Yarra Valley have chanted as the Yarra Valley Ice Cream Festival returns throughout the rest of February. Believing that more is more, there will be 144 flavours to try out throughout the festival, with 12 flavours on offer for each of the 12 days of the festival. So no two days there will be the same, and your taste buds will certainly love the festival for it.

Entry is free (yay!), and you can try out all the different flavours on a cone, as a sundae and there will even be some take home containers for you to enjoy afterwards too. There are tasting sessions throughout the day at 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. And if that’s not enough, there will be a competition where the winner will receive a year’s supply of ice cream! (You read that correctly).

So if you want to take the kids out of Melbourne for the weekend, then head over the Yarra Valley, this is a perfect event for the whole family to enjoy all that delicious ice cream and get away from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne at the same time.
