Photographer of the week: Alana Paterson

After growing up on an isolated Canadian island (home to just her and her family), Alana Paterson has spread her wings to the rest of the West Coast and New York City.
Across her shoots Alana’s photography captures the grandeur and green of the Pacific North West, and she has recently worked with clients like HUF, Norse, Brixton, Comune and Poler Stuff. At the moment she’s divvying up the rest of her time on the Unlikely Loads project. Think hatchbacks lugging couches on their roofs.
Finding the perfect light is another one of Alana’s pursuits.
“I could see the same thing 40 times a day then all of a sudden the right light is on it and I’m running (for my camera),” she says.
