Photographer of the week: Rhees Goodridge
Posted by Steph Wade
05. Apr, 2013
Ghees (aka Rhees Goodridge) is a freelance photographer based in Sydney. His influences revolve around travel and a desire to meet and photograph extraordinary people. He is currently travelling across the United States in a van.
Having self-taught himself after receiving a camera as a gift, Ghees honed his skills through a passion for portraiture – cutting his teeth shooting the ANZAC Day parades across Sydney. Ghees works largely with film, uses a wide array of cameras and processes his work in a studio at the back of his house.
“I believe everybody has an innate desire to create something remarkable and timeless, and that is what photography is all about for me. It’s the pursuit of perfection through the everyday imperfections we know as our lives.”
