Hands up if you don’t like the circus? No one? Thought so, though this dark performance may change the way you think about those colourful and cheery circuses forever. The Melbourne Fringe Festival presents One Trick Pony’s Carousel, a combination of highly polished vaudeville, burlesque, circus and dance acts. Two female acrobats perform acts reminiscent of the golden age of circuses while exploring the themes of power, lust, heartbreak, illness and social disconnection. Not quite the usual juggling act, but much more memorable for it.
WHEN: Tuesday 9 October – Saturday 13 October, 9pm-10pm
WHERE: Fringe Hub, Main Theatre, Lithuanian Club, 44 Errol Street, North Melbourne
