Uncomfortable Beats – August Edition
Posted by Kristian Hatton
05. Aug, 2012
Uncomfortable Beats is back once again at Bar Open to turn the chilly winter out with their monthly showcase of wonky styles, experimental beats and dubs.
This month’s love is given by A Baker’s Dozen, Dubfonik, Warpa!nt, DJ Shikung, and special guest all the way from northern NSW, The Psilosimian aka Oliver Keefe.
Oliver runs experimental label, Retort Records, which specialises in vinyl releases of strange and exotic electronica. Retort will shortly be releasing a 7″ from international noise artist, Merzbow. Oliver will be flexing a fine selection of unique tracks and his own production (under the name Srialdabaoth), which showcases the unusual formula Retort Records has to offer.
Uncomfortable Beats is free as always.
WHEN: Wednesday, 15 August, 8pm-12am
WHERE: Bar Open, 317 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy
