Everyone likes a good Sunday market, and if you’re like us you’ll also be partial to a good sticky beak through interesting buildings not always open to the public. As luck would have it, this weekend you can do both.
Fitzroy’s crafty collective Thread Den is hosting the monthly North Melbourne Market, which features the handiwork of local designers and artists. There’s clothes, home-wares, knick-knacks, doovalackies and food.
Plus it’s all held in the awesome Melbourne Lithuanian Club, which is worth the $2 price of admission alone. Make sure you check out the ballroom and great old pics of Lithuanian club gatherings of years past. Those Lithuanians can dance.
WHEN: Sunday 22 July, 8am – 3pm
WHERE: Melbourne Lithuanian Club, 44 Errol St North Melbourne
