Step inside into the world of storytelling and revisit the age-old tradition of bark canoe-making, practiced for years by the Gunai/Kurnai people of Gippsland. The unique exhibition tells the story of Elder Uncle Albert Mullett who taught his grandson, Steaphan Paton and others this through a series of objects, powerful images, and a short film. An exploration of cultural tradition and the indigenous community, the exhibition showcases the strength and pride of the Aboriginal culture in Australia today. Come and be entranced by the visual stories starting this Friday at the Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre.

Tickets are $10 for adults, free with Concession.

WHEN: Friday 6 July – Sunday 4 November, 10am-5pm
WHERE: Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Melbourne Museum, Nicholson Street, Carlton
