Local upcoming label Tettmann.Doust have recently previewed their new Spring Summer 12/13 collection and no doubt have lived up to expectation following their debut at the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Naomi Tettmann and Elke Doust, the faces behind Tettmann.Doust, have been working hard behind closed doors to bring together the label’s new collection.

Corpus Ephemera embraces the anatomic elements and eccentric attitude from their first collection, Aves Insecta, and has stripped it back into a more delicate and whimsical series of elegance and sophistication.

The inspired theme of birds and insects is carried through into Corpus Ephemera, which personifies the journey and mark of such beautiful, delicate creatures.

The sense of fragility that the collection embodies is articulated through each unique piece, using a soft, delicate array of silks, kangaroo leather and hand-sewn glass beads.

A feature piece includes the Emberiza Cape, a uniquely shaped backless silk cape embellished with hundreds of hand-sewn beads, as well as the Naevia Playsuit, an elegant romper made entirely from original printed silk, both rich in attitude and style.

The label has also dipped their toes into the world of lingerie with success. Architecturally influenced designs with cut-out tops and bottoms, thick, bold lines and unique angles captures confidence, structure and desire in their small range of under wear.

It is in the juxtaposition of structure and fragility that makes Corpus Ephemera an experience for both the wearer and the observer. A unique and final tribute to the beauty of the birds and insects, Tettmann.Doust’s new collection will make a splash in the local fashion industry.
