21. May, 2012
Earlier this month we went to Melbourne Insights 2012, an event where local movers and shakers like chef Paul Mathis, self-proclaimed bon vivant Michael Delany (The Bottom End) and Kate Vandermeer (The Supercool) shared their ideas about the next big trends to hit Melbourne and what they were excited about.
We also filmed it. Here’s a look at what’s cooking in Melbourne for 2012. Enjoy.
Entertainment
Wicked
Thrillifying, scandalacious and oh-so ozmopolitan, Wicked is a story of female friendship, love, courage and conquering evil, and is quite simply a theatrical spectacle that cannot be missed. Runs until April 28 at Regent Theatre.
Groundhog Day the Musical
Direct from its record-breaking return season at London’s West End, Groundhog Day The Musical has reached Australia, and may or may not be Tim Minchin's magnum opus. Runs until April 7 at Princess Theatre.
One Life
Starring Anthony Hopkins and Helena Bonham Carter, One Life follows the inspiring true story of Sir Nicholas Winton, a man who saved over 600 children in the beginning of World War II. In cinemas Boxing Day 2023.
