Tonight isn’t just April 24, it’s MUTATION NIGHT! In Northcote at least.
That’s where the Melbourne Horror Film Society will be showing a dastardly double feature of 1984 cult classic ‘C.H.U.D’ (that’s Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers) followed by Larry Cohen’s similarly obscure 1985 midnight movie ‘The Stuff’, a tale of mysterious goo that becomes a taste sensation!
If that’s not enough there’ll be giveaways and oozes of booze.
WHEN: Tues 24 April at 7pm
WHERE: Bar 303, 303 High St Northcote
Ever wondered what goodies are out the back of Northcote's shops? Find out this Saturday in a massive trash and treasure market.
Back for its second year, this environmentally-conscious film fest sees the premiere of Gus Van Sant's Promised Land.
We speak with festival director Masafumi Konomi to find out what we can expect on the Melbourne leg of this travelling tribute to Japanese cinema.
