ALICE EUPHEMIA SALE
Local design temple Alice Euphemia are renovating their store and to celebrate they’re having a good old fashioned renovation sale starting at 9am Thursday. Up to 80% of clothing and 30% of jewellery. Get in while you can, though we think it might be something like this. (Suckers for punishment please note Gorman is also having a sale).

BULL IN A CHINASTOP
The 3rd Saturday of every month (that means this Saturday) Heffernan Lane in Chinatown becomes a marketplace packed full of dumplings, rice, noodles, satays, cake, souvenirs and bloated bellies. Chop chop.

TASTE THE WILDING
Wilding
play at Yah Yah’s Saturday night as part of Weekender. They are wonderful in an Elliot Smith meets Beck with a liberal splash of Brit invasion and a touch of baroque pop kinda way. You’ll love ’em.

RANTON LEVEUR
Is not only the French word for racoon, it’s a play showing until Sunday at the excellent Owl and Pussycat. The show was a sell out at Toronto Fringe and is billed as a comedy about love, relationships and knives that cut through the bone. And racoons.

JOIN A SAILING CREW – AHOY!
During summer the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron holds races every Wednesday, and a quick $20 will get you aboard one of the racing keelboats. After the races, the club’s terrace is the perfect place to unwind with the crew over some vino and talk about the simple pleasures of life.
