This VD Day Gay Shame, Danceteria, and Gasometer are presenting an anti-romantic event for everyone who hates the coocheecoos.  Featuring DJ’s Leather Locklear & Mzzz Erin Tasmania, party games such as speed hating and food and drink specials. “Whether you’re single and desperate or just over all the schmultz come and celebrate V.D. with us…WARTS N’ ALL!”
When:
Monday, Feb 14. 7pm – 1am
Where
: Gasometer, 484 Smith St, Collingwood

In Search of Spa-rk
One of the most romantic things anyone has ever done for me was to whisk me away for a weekend in Spa country Daylesford. This might be a bit pricey or out of the way so here are two more affordable ways to get into a spa closer to home, even if it is just a spa bath:
Baden Powel
Pub and Restaurant downstairs, affordable accommodation upstairs from $80-160 a night. From double rooms with en-suites to king rooms with spa baths. The Baden Powell Hotel lies between Smith Street and Wellington Street in Collingwood.
A Steamy Affair
Peninsular Hot Springs Victoria’s first natural hot mineral springs are just 90 minutes from Melbourne and are offering a number of special Valentine’s Day packages.  Pamper yourself, alone or with a partner be it a youmance, romance, bromance or womance there’s something for everyone.
